Connect with over 25 fair-chance employers open to hiring justice-impacted individuals

GESMN is co-hosting its 2nd annual reentry job fair with the MN Department of Corrections and Ramsey County Workforce Solutions to connect justice-impacted people with fair-chance local employers to ensure everyone has equitable employment opportunities.

Goodwill-Easter Seals Minnesota’s (GESMN) mission is to eliminate barriers to work and independence. There are thousands of driven, talented Minnesotans who are often overlooked for careers with family-sustaining wages. GESMN's Reentry Program supports second chances by working with people exiting incarceration to connect them with resources that help stabilize their lives including mentoring, employment services and one-to-one case management.

The MN Department of Corrections’ EMPLOY Program is a voluntary employment services program providing work readiness and job search preparation in all 10 Minnesota Correctional Facilities and up to one year post-release. EMPLOY’s mission is to reduce recidivism by providing participants with the necessary tools to locate, gain, and retain employment. EMPLOY also provides education to employers about creating Fair Chance Hiring practices within their companies and the benefits of hiring justice-involved individuals.
